What's new in Ovida (28 October 2026)

Last updated: October 28, 2026

Avatar roleplays can now see your camera and shared screen, and a set of fixes improves meetings, notifications and non-English languages.

New and improved

Camera and screen sharing in avatar roleplays. In avatar roleplays, the avatar can now see your camera. The avatar fills the call area and your camera appears as a small tile in the bottom-right corner. Click Share screen to show the avatar something on your screen and talk it through. Screen sharing is available on desktop browsers only. If you do not allow camera access, the roleplay still starts with your microphone only.

Reduce background noise. Open the microphone settings in an avatar roleplay and turn on Reduce background noise. It is on by default.

Background effects. In the camera settings of an avatar roleplay, you can blur your background or choose a preset background (Bookshelf, Coffee shop, Modern home or Nature). The avatar sees your video with the effect applied.

Skill and relationship assignment kept separate. In Settings, skills are now assigned to teams from Skills Assignment, and the list shows skills only. If your organisation uses relationships, they are assigned from a separate Relationship Assignment page.

Fixes and improvements

This release also fixes a number of smaller issues.

  • Long content in the Summary, Feedback, Actions and My notes tabs of a meeting now scrolls instead of being cut off.

  • Changes to tables in the meeting Feedback tab now save.

  • Meeting attendance is no longer labelled as Missed in error.

  • and much more...
