12 June 2026 - What's New in Ovida

Last updated: June 15, 2026

Here's a look at everything we shipped last week: new capabilities, improvements, and a healthy round of fixes and polish.

New & Improved

Upload existing meeting transcripts for analysis You can now bring transcripts from outside Ovida straight into the platform. From the meeting/skill "Add meeting" flow, choose Upload transcript and either upload a file (TXT, DOC, DOCX, or PDF) or paste the text directly. Ovida cleans up and standardizes the formatting for you, lets you confirm who's speaking, and saves it as a meeting you can analyze like any other. Opening one of these meetings now shows a clean, read-only transcript view.

A new home for your Settings Settings now live in one consolidated place, reachable from a dedicated Settings button at the bottom of the sidebar. Your teams have moved here too, under My Team → Joined Teams, so you can see and manage the teams you belong to from a single spot.

A clearer Dashboards menu The old "Metrics" menu has been reorganized into Dashboards, with Team activity, your own My activity dashboard, and Scores (where enabled). Organizations with bespoke reporting needs can now also have a custom dashboard surfaced right in this menu under their own label.

Roleplay scenarios that come to life as they're written When you generate a roleplay scenario, you'll now watch it stream onto the screen in real time as it's created; the same smooth, live experience you already get in skill threads.

Fixes & Polish

Meetings & Recording

  • Recording now genuinely pauses and the timer stops, the moment an observer is unmuted, so nothing is captured while recording is on hold.

  • Fixed an issue where an added observer could disappear from the meeting Lobby or couldn't be added at all.

  • The Meeting Settings modal now lays out correctly on mobile, with no more overlapping icons or hidden buttons.

Skills & Roleplay

  • You'll now get a clear message if your microphone is blocked by your computer's system settings (even when your browser allows it), so you're not left guessing why voice isn't working.

  • The Complete button is now disabled after you click it, preventing the error that could pop up from double-clicking.

  • Long lists of scoring criteria now scroll neatly within their pop-up instead of running off the screen.

  • Editing a team's assigned skills is clearer: the skill count is now plain text, with a dedicated Edit button beside it.

Settings & Navigation

  • The Settings side menu now stays put as you scroll, so you can switch sections without scrolling back to the top.

  • Fixed a layout glitch on the "Test audio and video" page that was covering the sidebar's collapse/expand button.

Contacts

  • Newly added contacts now show up immediately; no page refresh needed.

  • Searching by a contact's full email address now returns the right result.

  • The "Copied!" confirmation on a new meeting link now appears only after you actually copy it.

Email & Sign-in

  • Invitation and sign-in email links no longer trigger a "this website is not tested" security warning for new users.

Reliability

  • Fixed a problem where some users could get stuck on an outdated version of the app after a release, which occasionally caused broken pages. The app now reliably loads the latest version.
