Why does my coach use Ovida?

Last updated: May 25, 2026

Coaches use Ovida to develop their own skills and to help you get more out of each session.

Most coaches use Ovida for two reasons.

To improve their coaching

Coaching is a solitary practice. Without peers or supervisors watching, it's hard for a coach to get objective feedback on their own work. Ovida gives coaches the tools to observe and improve their practice over time.

The skills that underpin great coaching — listening, asking the right question, holding space — often run counter to natural instincts to advise, judge, or jump in. Mastering them requires regular reflection. Ovida supports that reflection by surfacing what actually happened in each session.

To deepen the value you get from each session

Coaching sessions often produce strong moments of insight. Those feelings are powerful in the room but can be hard to sustain afterwards. Coachees who re-watch small segments of their sessions, even days later, report reconnecting with the experience and feeling renewed motivation to act on what they learnt.

Many people also experience secondary insights when revisiting key moments — realisations that didn't fully land in the moment but come together when watched again. These secondary insights are linked to better outcomes over time.
