How do I change the language of the Ovida app?

Ovida supports multiple languages. You can switch between them in your account settings, and the change applies immediately.

For all Ovida users.

Languages supported

Ovida is currently available in:

  • English

  • Vietnamese

  • Japanese

If your preferred language isn't on this list, you can still use Ovida in English, and let us know which language you'd like next.

How to change your language

  1. Click your profile icon in the top right.

  2. Open Settings.

  3. Find the Language option.

  4. Select the language you want.

The change applies straight away, no need to refresh or restart the app. The interface, menus, and prompts will appear in your chosen language from that point on.

Note that an organization can set a default language and which disables the language selector, so some users will not see the selector and will use their organization's language.

What does and doesn't change

  • Interface language changes immediately: buttons, menus, settings, navigation.

  • AI roleplays and feedback follow the same language by default. If you'd like the AI to respond in a different language than your interface, you can set this inside the roleplay itself.

  • Existing transcripts and recordings stay in their original language. Changing your app language doesn't translate past content.
